​The organisations that we work with are generally the ones that are looking to establish a data program.
​
They may have something in place today that could be described as the beginnings of a data capability. But, they're looking to establish a formal enterprise data program to deal with challenges that they're facing.
These could be challenges in their data:

existing quality of reports
-
timeliness
-
availability
-
ease of access
When we engage with these organisations, we find they have very similar characteristics. The data, analytics and needs of the organisation have typically been falling on what we call the shoulders of heroic individuals.

This process has been working for a certain period of time and these people have been able to satisfy the needs of the organisation. But, they're usually a tipping point where the demands of the enterprise for data are outstripping the capabilities of these individual - heroes. You are left with teams just pulling their own data trying to solve their own problems and this leads to a lot of challenges.
